eSIMs Asia exists for one reason: getting mobile data while travelling around Asia used to be needlessly confusing, and we wanted to make it simple. We are travellers first. We have queued at airport SIM counters, been stung by roaming bills, and fumbled tiny plastic cards in the back of taxis — so we understand exactly why a good eSIM feels like a small miracle.

What we do

We write plain-English guides to travel eSIMs and country-by-country breakdowns for popular Asian destinations. No jargon, no fear-mongering, and no pretending one product is perfect for everyone. Our goal is that you arrive at your destination already online, having spent the smallest sensible amount of money to get there.

How we test and recommend

We base our recommendations on real-world use: actual coverage on the ground, how painless the setup is, whether top-ups work when you run low, and whether the price is fair.
